Super granny Mary Lambert was on cloud nine when she made a 10,000 feet parachute jump. The 87-year-old daredevil is no stranger to danger. In the past few years she has abseiled down cliffs, gone hot air ballooning, and rode on a Harley Davidson motorbike.
Mary was watched by dozens of onlookers as she made the tandem charity jump to encourage others to live life to the full. And she made hundreds of pounds for the Alzheimer's Society in the process. Mary, of Spital Tongues, Newcastle, is being treated for leukaemia but is amazing the North East as she brings excitement into her life.
