For decades Mr. Clean was the silent, muscular Hunk of Household Cleaning who would famously appear unannounced in kitchens across North America, to the squealing delight of perky little homemakers who immediately handed over their sponges and brushes (and heaven knows what else) to the bald, muscular he-man so that he could 'finish the job'.
Years of inhaling toxic cleaning fluids, however, eventually forced Mr. Clean out of the kitchen and into relatively harmless cleaning chores such as sweeping the driveway and scraping seagull poop off the deck rail. Today, he entertains passersby on the Stanley Park seawall by whipping out his giant toothbrush and scrubbing gum off the sidewalk.
