A few of the many photos that are up on my photo blog from a recent trip to the welcoming village of Wylam around 10 miles west of Newcastle in the county of Northumberland. It is famous for the being the birthplace of "Father of Railways" George Stephenson, one of the early rail pioneers. It also has further connections with other early rail pioneers.
